Do you know of a site that has a great feature that you think would be wonderful to share with the other members of District 42?

We would like your feedback about ways that we can enhance d42tm.org to make it even more relevant and useful for Toastmasters in Alberta and Saskatchewan (and for anyone worldwide who happens to check us out!)

Ideas contributed thus far:

  • I'd like to see a Calendar of Events that can be updated by Division Staff. We have 6 speech contests, and 4 training events in various states of planning, so there is never one single time at which we can send a email to the D42 webmaster with a complete list. (Comment: to add an event to the d42 Google Calendar, email and you will receive instructions on how to update the Calendar.)
  • Also, a list of Dates for various deadlines would be helpful. I think this would be mostly District-wide. (Comment: The Year Ahead document includes several district-wide deadlines.  Many of these have been added to the District Calendar. Also, a plan for deadlines for each position - Club Officer, Area Governor, and other roles - is in the works!)
  • I'd like to see some training material for Judging Workshops.
  • Also, I'd like to know what people are doing for their High Performance Leadership Projects (Check out the "Leadership Excellence" section under Celebration). Has there been some development for Advanced boot Camp materials?
  • A FAQ list of what gets asked for the different levels of Pres, AG, DG, district officers.  I see this as a dynamic table- being updated as new questions get asked and answered (In progress).
  • This should lead to a list of who to contact for different issues like:
    • contest certificates
    • new club development
    • club coach
    • TLI for each division
    • club dues issues – for to contact at District and TMI level.
    * update old information. I clicked on info about proxies and it was last year's info and dates. It happens elsewhere, too.
    * improve the search capabilities. I searched for "boot camp" and got one result which was only comedy boot camp. When I searched for "HPL" I got nothing.
